Source: Wikimedia Commons Consumers in America bought just under 20% of China's exports in May, the highest percentage since 2010. This showcases the dependence China still has on major developed countries and their economies, and in part the strength of the American consumer relative to Europe and Japan. The potential for massive LNG [liquefied natural gas], NGLs [natural gas liquids], refined products, petrochemicals, condensate and maybe even crude oil exports from America to China over the coming decade could help turn around America's $24.2 billion trade deficit against China that it posted in just one month. We will have to see.
