Source: Wikimedia Commons Author: Wolfgang Meinhart On Thursday, BP (NYSE:BP) entered into an agreement with Kansai Electric Company, a Japanese utility company, to sell 13 million metric tons of LNG [liquefied natural gas] to Kansai Electric over the course of 23 years. BP will source the LNG from its various operations worldwide. Natural gas as a form of electricity is increasingly becoming more popular [especially in Asia] as China starts to lean away from coal and Japan taps out nuclear energy.
